Viewers instantly become familiar with the many different Melody Street musical characters by interacting with each instrument in various ways. Activities include voice-guided names, facts and ‘did you know’ segments about each character and the opportunity to view several different images of each. The app also features individual musical themes for each character and allows users to play the individual sounds of all the instruments via a virtual keyboard.

The results are in for the 2011 National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) Children’s Products competition, and Melody Street- Online Webisodes has been named a Gold winner in the Children’s Media/Entertainment & Programming category!

When something is “dope”, it means it’s really cool! In appreciation of MelodyStreet.com’s innovative content, our site has been added to the Recognition Gallery of the prestigious DOPE AWARDS.

MelodyStreet.com has been awarded the KidZui Site Seal, approving to online visitors that the site is family-friendly and kid-fun!

As an advocate of children’s involvement in music and the arts, Melody Street was proud to sponsor this year’s ICAF Musical Contest. We had received fantastic submissions from around the globe and invited our top finalists to perform at the Festival along other performers from all over the world.

While the impressive amount of talent that we witnessed throughout the weekend made our decision difficult, we are proud to congratulate the Namilyango Junior Boys School from Uganda who won our first prize of $1,000 for their uplifting performance. The boys from Uganda danced, sang and played their native instruments delighting the audience with their endless energy and talent. 12 years old Isaiah Lemons, a talented guitar player from Maryland, won second place for his impressive performance, taking home $750 worth of musical equipment along with Melody street apparel. We are looking forward to hearing more from this talented young man in the future.

Additionally, Melody Street awarded all of the children that performed, a ’Creativity for Peace’ certificate, celebrating their talent, creativity, and peaceful vision through the arts. Meeting all of these talented children was a true pleasure, and learning about the ways music and art make a real difference in their lives was inspiring. These extraordinary children have become ambassadors of peace for their countries, and we have no doubt that they will continue to do great things with these experiences from the Festival. From African drum-line to Chinese orchestra, music’s capability to unite was a loud and clear message that echoed through the smiles and laughter of kids and adults of all different backgrounds. Quite simply, creativity, music, and the arts are powerful tools that can help us create a brighter world for our children to inherit.

We would like to thank all who submitted and performed in the competition and made the festival such a wonderful event! We’d especially like to thank Dr. Ashfaq Ishaq, chairman of the International Child Art Foundation and executive producer of the World Children’s Festival, for his relentless and heartfelt dedication to a cause of such great importance, and for giving us the opportunity to be involved in such a unique celebration.

The first chapter introduces the five story house in which the musical instrument families live. Children get to interact and form personal relationships with each of the lovable characters through fun and imagination filled touch-screen activities. As the story unfolds in the following chapters, we discover that living together is no easy task, when one isn’t willing to accept the other’s uniqueness. Timpani Tim is too loud, Old Lady Harp’s cat goes through the trash, Sammy Snare is rowdy and Terry Trombone’s cooking smells. But on one sunny morning, a new neighbor arrives and comes up with a plan to help them live in harmony.
